Hello again, Paula here - this is a very experimental 12x12 LO - obviously, I'm still a novice but as you might be able to see, I'm having fun!
I've used Dr Ph Martin's Bombay Indian Ink in orange to draw my base design, I've then used a Dylusion stencil with a black Dylusions ink spray. The lettering and numbers are Jenni Bowlin Skinny Alphas.
Would love to hear feedback on this piece.....any constructive criticism would be welcomed.
Until I enlarged the image I thought you'd threaded orange cotton though the paper and knotted it - looks so 3D. I love the orange (instead of pink or red).
ReplyDeleteVery striking layout the pop of orange is gorgeous. Tracy x x
ReplyDeleteNo criticism at all this is a fabulous LO. I love the non-traditional colour and it works so well with black (coincidentally last week I saw a pic of a girl with jet black hair and orange lips and thought it was a good colour combo). This is a heartfelt LO without being sugary. I love it!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous Paula!

I think this works really well Paula - busy but your eye still gets pulled round the page in a coherent way. Love the orange!
ReplyDeleteGreat lay-out. Love the shadowing!
ReplyDeleteFantastic work, I love the way you have achieved that really 3D effect, really clever. I am just discovering acrylic inks and I really like their vibrancy. Really great foil for the great photo of you both. Elaine x
