Shine like a Star

Hello!
Today I'm sharing a little art doll I've made... I wanted a change from all the painty panels!

I found two tiny 2" canvases lurking in a box, so decided to use them as the body for my doll. I glued them together, then wrapped bits of old book page around them for extra strength, and to hide the joins!

 The body, Tando chipboard butterfly wings (one big butterfly cut in half!), and the spool base were all then given a coat of gesso. I used Claudine Hellmuth paints for everything, landscape green, classic teal and dash of red being the three I used this time. One of the fab things about buying the paint in the mini kits is the teeny bottles you get. This means you can use the paint through the fine nozzle to create dots....

Once blasted with a heat gun, the dots will raise up and give fabulous texture!
Once painted, I glued everything together, then added arms. These were done by twisting wire into shape, then glueing to the back of her body...

The front of the canvas has a red star.... with a teeny rub on word..

The head of the doll is a Stampotique figure, decapitated!
