Autumn Fire Journal Page

Hello!

Hope you are all well this Sunday morning? It's moi (Georgie) ;) here with you today over from my blog, sharing another page from my bigger art journal.

I have called this page Autumn Fire, being so inspired by this time of year, all the colours are so rich and warm, signalling Summer is over and Winter will soon be here, hence the clock feel, the continuous ticking over of the seasons. With Autumn, everyone tends to think of the oranges, browns, reds and evergreens, but this page is dedicated to the plums and purples that appear battling to be seen against the other colours.

New Prima/Finnabair Mica Powders are now available from the shop, and of course couldn't wait to get my hands on them. So shimmery and pigmented! In this page I have used the newbies Tangerine and Deep Water.

The Prima Resin Flowers (the one above being from the Patty range), had me a little at odds to start with. I couldn't make up my mind, but... I took a gamble and boy, do I LOVE them! I sprayed this one with Prima Color Bloom in Pressed Petal.

For the background I used a Art Basics White Crackle and went over with Art Basics Black Gesso and Black Sand in the centre of the page where the flower would be, and then used Pressed Petal and Tangerine to coat over the page. Once, thoroughly dried I rubbed more black gesso in all over so the colour subtly shone through.

I've been holding on to my numeral for ages. Not wanting to open and just admire them in their packaging.

Lots of Art Ingredients Glass Glitter and Micro Beads along with another coating of Tangerine and Deep Water on the numerals to finish up!

Hugs
Georgie

Beautiful delicate autumnal palette - and I love the flower with the face at the heart. Gorgeous work with all those beaded textures too.
