Vintage Chic

Good morning everyone, thank you for joining me on my very first post as a design team member, Im looking forward to getting to know you all in the coming year.

I recently took a class with the gorgeously talented Finnabair and was in awe at her style, flair and passion for mixed media art and knew that I wanted to create something for my first post inspired by the lady herself but with my own colourful twist.....

I started with some scrapbook papers which I tore up and added to the background, covering with gesso, I used the gorgeous Dina Wakley paints to add some colour.
Prima's 3D gel medium was used through prima stencils to add some more texture and then added strips of fabric from prima along with various trinkets from their mechanicals range.

I sprinkled some of prima's glass beads to fill any gaps and then dried fully, before adding touches of paint over the top.

I finished with a pencil to add shadows and a black pen to hand write the words and draw the bubbles.

I love the way this has turned out, pretty and vintage looking but with my usual abundance of colour..... will definitely be doing some more pages with this technique.

Have a happy Thursday
Tracy
