Hello!
Today I have for you a very colourful project. I used No.12 Giant Tag as a background.
On a plain tag I sprayed some Dylusions Ink Sprays. Than I glued a pieces of Glitz Design Your Truly paper (hurry it's on sale now!!!) and Claudine Hellmuth Sticky-Back Canvas.
For more texture I used gel medium and The Crafter Workshop Template. When I was sure that the background is dry I sprayed Dylusions Inks once again.
I used my sewing machine for ''building'' houses. Than stamped Stampotique Originals stamps (you can buy some of them in really good prices!!!) using Ranger Archival Ink. For last touches I used Crackle Accents, white acrylic paint and staples.

A little bit lovey for a change.
I know it's the season for madness, grunge and downright dirty fun but I thought I'd take a break from all that spooky nonsense and make something a bit more loved up.
Having so many pretty off cuts from my paper stash, I thought I'd add them to a tag and see where it took me.
Once I'd cut the edges off and re-punched the hole at the top, I did a bit of machine stitching and knocked back the colour with a thin coat of white paint applied with an old store card.
I've been on a roll recently with the texture paste so I used it again this time through this gorgeous Balzer Design stencil called Fleur de Lis.
Once that was dry, I added a touch of silver with an alcohol ink mixative. If I'd thought ahead I might have even coloured the texture paste with it first but that's for another experiment.
I liked the touch of red underneath and thought I'd go with it adding a bit more with a couple of embellishments and the word Love which I found in a magazine.
A little break from all the Halloween treats but I'm sure normal blogging will resume shortly :)

It's all black and white.
For today's post I'm in a black and white mood for sure and loving the simple graphic look of what started out as one of Rangers black tags. The gorgeous background detail was created using a stencil by Balzer Design and some white acrylic paint on my gelli plate. The white pattern could equally be created with the stencil and white paint or white ink over the black tag.
I stamped the flower and leaves from Claudine Hellmuth's stamp set on plain white card and cut them out, layering them up for some dimension. Apart from some small embellishments I didn't want to add too much as I loved the background so much I felt it a shame to cover it up.
Happy Friday.

Scrap, layered, big tag
I really cannot tell you how many layers are on this tag, there are so many I could use it as a door stop! No seriously it's not that bad but there are a few.
I had absolutely no idea what direction I was going to take this project in so I just went with it and the end result didn't turn out too bad I don't think.
I started out with one of the massive Ranger tags. These tags are so big they stand alone as backgrounds and make great mini book pages or cards.
I put it through a wood grain embossing folder for texture and sprayed it with ink and I was initially hoping the spray would work it's way around the embossing and look totally cool but it just wasn't happening, so I covered that up with two coats of gesso. (Two because the first layer activated the ink colour). I sprayed again this time with two colours of Mr Hueys, Estate Green and Taxi Yellow. I loved the colour but over the gesso layer it was too bright and swamped the scrap layers on top so I toned this down a bit by scraping over some white acrylic.
The background still screamed at me but once I'd layered my photo and scrap papers it was looking a lot better.
I used Glitz color me happy papers, Ranger tissue tape and tiny alphabet stickers (Prima do some just the same).
Happy thursday, have fun and I'll see you next time.

Be mine? Tin man tag by Gez
I am delighted to be sharing a tag creation with you today.
I decided to set myself a little challenge to use up some of those little scraps I just can't bare to throw away which are lying around my desk and to also try and fit it into Vicki's 10 minute challenge over at the biskit barrel, yipee, I did... apart from the colouring.. that took wayy longer! However, it was a great challenge!
I started with a plain black No.8 tag and tore away the left hand side.. I then ran up the sides with the Chevron Glitz Design Roller Doodle stamp.. gotta love these!
The gorgeous Tinman is a fabulous new design by Janet Klein and is available HERE when you scroll down the page, along with his cute friends..
The red chevron paper is from the Yours Truly paper collection by Glitz Design along with the little advertisment from the Ephemera paper and the little cut out hearts are from the Color Me Happy Hearts paper also by Glitz Design.
There are new products being added to the store weekly, so why not sign up for the newsletter, details in the left hand column of the home page HERE!

C&S
Most of the time I have a lot going on on my pages. I love color, pattern, paint, inks etc. But I also LOVE the clean&simple style of scrapping. Today I'm showing you a really simple, yet striking way to show of a favorite photo.
For this page I used a large Ranger tag as a base for my photo. I also added two copies of the photo to make it stand more out. The card with the text on it is from Glitz Design: Color Me Happy Bits & Pieces. To give the page a little extra I added a sticker text and a little bird paper clip from Prima.
(sorry about the really bad picture. Not easy to get a clear photo on a grey, rainy day;-) )

Shabby vintage tag by Gez
I am delighted to share a tag with you today, here on the Creative blog.. lots of inky goodness went into making this tag, it was sooo much fun!
I started with a plain No.8 Ranger {manila tag} and a couple of {Distress ink} pads used to create the background.. (I must remember to take along the wayy pics.. being a midnight crafter the light is always very poor!)
I stamped {Midge} onto vintage paper using {jet black} Archival ink. Used some scraps of music and patterned paper for the background and embellishments and machine stitched around the edges..
I then added some acrylic paint to help bond the different elements and used one of my most favourite, favourite stamps from {Stampotique Originals}.. {Honeycomb background (8116)} Here I swiped the stamp with a gold {Ranger Paint Dabber} to add texture, making sure I cleaned the stamp as quickly as possible..
Thank you for calling today and stopping to look at my tag.. wishing everyone a lovely weekend.

Experimenting tag
Hello!
Today I will show
you a very easy tag, my small experiment. This time I wanted to try
some products on my tag, especially white pens and Derwent pencils. I
wanted to see how they cover a brown tag and what differences are
between them.
As a background I
used Ranger Tags - Kraft. I glued a piece of Glitz Design paper using it for a hill.
I draw houses ( I will tell you about this in a moment ) and for
roofs I used Bazzill Basics Paper – Antique Newsprint.
The left house I
draw using Montana Acrylic Marker. As you can see white is bright and
you can see it very clearly. For the right house I used a Posca Pen.
The tag is absorbing the colour from a pen. I drew lines twice to
achieved this effect. If you use dots to draw the line the effect
will be better. For the fence between houses I used Sakura white pen.
First time I used
Derwent Graphitint and I love it! It's a great pencil. I drew clouds
using White (24) Derwent Graphitint and trees using Storm (18)
Derwent Graphitint. For drawing leaves I used Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze. This Glimmer is turquoise (All That Jazz) but the background
is brown, so the colour of medium has changed.
For the windows
and other blue details I used Light Blue Posca Paint Pen. It's really
great, very bright colour.
I love all these
products!

Inky Pinky
Hello!
Today I would like to show you my tag. It's a large
size of #10 Manila tag by Ranger. It's a project with a few layers.
It looks complicated but it isn't and the best – there are no
rules! I used a lot of stuff and really don't remember what I used.
Unfortunately my hubby didn't come to my studio (yet) and didn't
'steal' my project (as usual).
For the first layer I used: masking
tape, white paint, Bazzill Basics Paper – Antique Newsprint and
Glitz Design Yours Truly paper.
For the next layer I used: Dylusions Ink Sprays, paints and a black gesso from Claudine Hellmuth. For the
third layer I used: Tim Holts Tissue Paper and Stampotique stamps. I
also used Glitz Roller Doodles.
The fourth layer: white paint+glue,
thread, tissue paper and Tattered Angels Glimmer Glaze. Almost there!
The last layer: Ranger Liquid Pearls,
Claudine Hellmuth Sticky -Back Canvas and Prima Paper Clips.

Flying high
This time I've had some fun messing around with paint, stencils and mist:-) I also made my page using a Prima Build-A-Page Sketch and a beautiful colorpalette from the Color Room:-) I love challenges and they often give me the kick in the back to get started:-)
To make this page I started out by almost covering my background paper with gesso and paint to match the colors in the palette. I used some masks and stencils aswell. Then I glued down some regular tissue paper and some strips of Bazzil Antique book paper (LOVE!), and layered a few different Ranger tags on top. I continued by painting over the paper here and there and then I used a lot of mist to make it all come together:-)
To embellish the page I based it on my Prima products, both old and new. The flowers and the butterfly is from my own stash but in the shop you can get the Lady Bird paper clip, the Finnabair Vintage Machanicals
and the zipper metal trinket that are all from Prima. I also used a Prima stamp on the side of the photos.

Big tag mini journal.
Ha ha it seems to be tag week here!!
I love manila tags and to find out that Ranger have made them bigger is fantastic. When I say bigger I mean BIGGER!!
This one is 22 x 10.5cm and it's not the biggest.
I started out wanting to make a decorated tag but given it's size I thought of a tag card which then developed into a mini journal.
I thought I'd emboss it first of all and so started by folding it in half to find the centre. This way I was able to fit it into my Sizzix embossing folder one half at a time.
I used a Prima chalk fluid edger in Lime pie to rub over the raised parts of the embossing to show it up and add some zingy colour.
The inside page is a piece of Glitz Colour Me Happy paper, a doily and some die cut stars.
The middle pages were coloured using Caran D'Ache Neo Colours by just scribbling on the page then wetting it.
This is a closer look at the front where I die cut some flowers from left over scraps of Glitz papers and added a Prima Metal paper clip.
Happy thursday
